Story:
One day without knowing anything about colombia I went to a good friend to burn a music-cd because my recorder was damaged. This friend just came back from colombia, because he just did a social year in colombia (ICJA). Then he gave me a paper.. an invitation to an infocamp of ICJA Germany. I said yes without thinking a lot. Very soon on the following weekend I went to Stuttgart to that camp. There I saw many new people who had all one thing in common: everybody wanted to go to a foreign country. The infos there were very good.
With all the new informations I went home and I filled all documents out (prefered country, interests etc.). Three days later I sent all this to ICJA. Then.. I waited.. and waited. Finaly I received a letter were it said: YOU GO TO COLOMBIA! It was a nice feeling to count now the days until I leave germany. The good thing is normally I had to make military OR civil servant in germany (like nearly every boy in my age). But this year in colombia counts as the same, so I make my civil servant in Bogota.
Now I had to wait until the 26th of July '05. On that day I went to the last ICJA-Camp in berlin. From there I flight directly to Frankfurt (about 1 hour flight). From Frankfurt I had to flight 10 hours to Venezuela (Caracas). Finally 2 hours flight to Bogota and I reached what I have dreamed month ago. ICYE Colombia picked me up at the airport.. everything no problem ;)
