|| x-mas in colombia / bogotá

20 years I have celabrated christmas in the same place, in germany. This time was different, because this time I celebrated in Latinamerica. Here x-mas is very different..and without snow :)
First I think that the buildings, lamps, windows and everything what you can see in the street is lighted in many different colors. Seemes like bogotá is "burning". Also the house were I live was full of light.
What kind of presents do they make here? Well, in my host-family presents weren´t that important, there were no presents, but that doesn´t mean that everybody was sad. The opposite! The main thing is that there is a lot of fun in xmas. You are together with the family and everybody is dancing, drinking, talking.. a lot of fun! It is like a party in the house.

This is the "parque 93" (the park 93). It is a very nice park and in xmas everything was lighted, it looked very great in every little corner:

This park is in the north of bogotá and in this time there are a lot of people. The park is surroundet by many restaurants, you really should try them there!
Also a lot of music and people who are singing there makes the atmosphere very great.

This is how the buildings and the streets can look like in that time:

A few pictures of me and my friends:

X-Mas in Bogotá is different. Is not like in germany. I am used to have this festival a little bit more quiet. Sometimes I remembered to my home in germany, and I wished to have only 5 minutes to celabrate that with my familiy. But anyway, I wasn´t that sad or something, but it is normal to think like that.
In General it was great, and a great experience! Everytime again!
