The
exchange-year is nearly over now. For the most,
there are only a few days left in Colombia until
they go back to their home-country. Therefore, there
was a last ICYE camp in "Villa de Leyva",
4 hours from Bogotá. Weather: pretty warm,
sometimes windy. Here I present the final class
2006 of ICYE:
After we arrived, we just went down to the centre,
to the main place the "plaza principal",
the biggest place in colombia: |
When
we were riding to a lake, we took the poss oportunity
to take a last foto together.

In
the night the town looks very beautiful and very quite as long
you are not in the center at the big "plaza", because
there you will find a lot of people hearing music, drinking beer,
chilling around and dancing to colombian music ;)
You
can find a lot of tourists there, many americans I have seen there,
so WE, THE FOREIGNERS, weren´t that special on the next
day, when we went to the centre to go shopping and to go around:
Unfortunately
we didn´t have that much time to see a lot of the town.
I didn´t take that much fotos from our trip when we were
riding horses, but therefore there is a lot of material in my
video.
Anyway on the next day, we went a little bit more outside to
visit an old women who creates things by totem.
We had the posibility to watch her while she was creating a
new figure. Nice to see. Also the house were she lives with
the garden was very great. Every little thing was worth to make
a foto. I took the posibility to take my fotos:
Villa
de nuestra Señora de Santa María Leyva:
Again I saw a new little town in Colombia. Meanwhile I can say
that they have all one thing in common: The relaxed way of living.
You won´t find a person very stressed or something like
that. The difference between these towns and Bogotá,
the capitol of Colombia, is very big
In
the end I bought a hammock for about 7 EUR in the little
town RAQUIRA. Well, I have no idea where I am going to
put that, but anyway you have to have something like that
when you have been in Colombia. So I took it with, let´s
see where I am going to put it ;)
