After the wedding finished about half past two, we finally arrived at home at about 4 o´clock in the morning.

So it was senseless to go to sleep that late because our flight to Santa Marta was leaving at 6 o´clock to the 5-Stars-hotel Irotama. Meanwhile our families stayed in Bogotá as typical tourists.

When we arrived in the hotel we just put our clothes out of the baggage and we changed our clothing because the weather in Santa Marta is totally different than in the capitol Bogotá. At least you can count with 40 degrees in the shadow. So we changed and we went directly to a small town near to Santa Marta to buy some stuff - Rodadero:

When we finished our shopping-tour throw the town we went back to the hotel where we enjoyed the life at a lonely beach, drinking cocktails, eating fresh fruits and looking at a classic sunset.

This hotel isn´t a standard hotel. There are Bungalows and apartments and many of them are pretty near to the beach. In our case we had the apartment directly in front of the beach

The next day already was the 24th of december, Christmas. For all guests of the hotel the managers organized a nice dinner with an nice event in the night. Yes, I also had to dance "Salsa" :)

It was reaaaaaly a very nice and elegant night.

The next day... a typical beach-day with massage:

Believe me, I really can not tell that much because we didn´t do that much :). We just enjoyed the life by doing absolutely nothing:

In the end a last foto with my wife and a last drink (or 2) before leaving this wonderfull paradise.

The Hotel Irotama in Santa Marta is really a nice wonderfull paradise. I really can suggest to everybody to see that wonderful place. You really don´t fell like in a hotel. You just receive your apartment or bungalow and you have the sea in front of you.
We already decided to come back in the end of 2007 ;)
